Château La Coste Tadao Ando Art Center
The idea was born in 2004, in the heart of the vineyards of the Château La Coste: to create a place where the art, the architecture and the ground can be reunited together. Artists and architects of the entire world were invited to visit the Château for exploring the beauty of the landscape. The opportunity given to them was to choose a place on the domain that they would be particularly and to create in this location a work which would take then life here. Today, the Château La Coste combines wine, art and architecture, and continues to project new things and installations are still in development.
Tadao Ando designed the Art Center for the Château La Coste. Creating an extraordinary experience of light and space in the nature, this construction shelters the welcome area, the bookshop and the Tadao Ando restaurant near the water and facing the vineyards. The Bookshop proposes works specialized on different artists and architects exposed on the Domain, also for the wine, the gastronomy and the gardens in Provence.
